Incoming email - Exchange 2003
HiI recently rebuilt my Exchange 2003 Server (SBS) as our domain name had changed. Since the rebuild we have been unable to receive incoming messages, however, the following constants are true:1. The router/DNS settings have not been altered, i.e. we did not change the port settings and mail.ourdomain.co.uk is returning the correct IP address and is being resolved correctly via DNS.2. Outgoing messages can be sent fine, and if a delivery receipt is required this is returned at the point the email is sent. Read receipts aren't received as clearly the delivery receipt is created at the same time the port was originally opened.3. Our IP address/domain name are not registered on Spamhaus etc, etc.4. The Exchange installation was a standard installation, as we've done 10's of times, and we did not change any of the settings during or after the process.Does anyone have any ideas?Regards

Mad,Try to connect to your server via telnet:telnet ip-address 25Check if the server will react, if not check your firewall and check if all services are running.Regards,Johanblog: www.johanveldhuis.nl

Hi,Whether the internal email could be sent or received normally? Now please do the operation as the Johan suggested, run telnet your Exchange server 25, then input:HeloMail from:Rcpt to:data.quitThrough the above command to simulate one email, check the outcome.Additionally, please confirm the Anonymous access option has been checked under SMTP Virtual Server.ThanksAllen
