Incoming message are not being processed and delivered (smart host + Exchange 2007)
Hello all,I have migrated Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007 (from Server 2000 to 2008) and things were running ok for the first few days. Now, however, incoming mail is not working - we can send out ok, but nothing comes in.Our setup is simple - we have a box running EzMTS that works as a smart host and it relays messages it receives to the Exchange server (running on another box).At the moment, the queue on the smart host box is growing and the queue in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\TransportRoles\data\Queue is growing as well (106 MBs now), but if I look at "Submission queue" it shows 0 messages. An interesting observation, which may or may not be related - things seemed to break apart a few hours after I turned on the built-in Anti-spam agents. I turned them off on Friday evening, and we did get mail over the weekend (it started coming in at about midnight). This morning, I turned them on again and incoming mail has stopped again. Maybe it's a coincedence, maybe not - I don't know. I've turned them off again, but still no incoming mail.Any helps, advice and hints greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your time.Dennis

It appears that we actually hit some sort of a maximum number of items that are set to be processed by Exchange, if that makes sense. After clearing the queue on the smart host, things started to work again. Not sure what happened...
