Indexing backlog reached a critical limit
Minutes after applying the updated Exchange MP (14.03.0038.004) in SCOM 2012, we received several alerts about event ID 5604.
Alert: Indexing backlog reached a critical limit of 48 hours or the number of items in the retry queue is greater than 10000 for database.
When I view the counters 'Age of the last Notification indexed' and 'Age of the last notification prcessed', they're both between 1 and 4. What does this error mean, how can I view the backlog or retry queue and how do I resolve? I assume rebuilding
the index for that DB would resolve the issue but I want more info. Thanks.

I was looking for the same error and found this.. it basically says that this is a bug in RU4 and RU4-v2...and it needs to be removed.
the link is below and it's in Russian. use Chrome to translate.

Thanks goof1427. We won't be rolling back but I've reduced the severity of the alert for now. DDog1980

Also check to see if you uninstall the Management Pack does the error go away? But that doesn't help in terms of monitoring the Exchange environment.
