Indiaction !!! if H.T server Down?????
Hello Team Will it be any indication in MBX server or CAS server, if the HT server is down or unreachble? simply how can we know if the H.T servers are down? i noticed , when the HT server is down, all the emails from the outlook are being strcuked in DRAFTS? so we may assume Store Driver from HT server is unable to process the emails from users outlook. The above scenario is for only the Organization having single H.T server....Any other indication apart from the above?

Well, I'd think that your monitoring software would report that! Even a simple connection to port 25, as long as it returns a status code, would be sufficient to know if the transport service was workin. >i noticed , when the HT server is down, all the emails from the outlook are being strcuked in DRAFTS? so we may assume Store Driver from HT server is unable to process the emails from users outlook. > >The above scenario is for only the Organization having single H.T server....Any other indication apart from the above? You won't get e-mail from outside your organization. Port 25 won't respond to connections. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Thnaks rick Well, I'd think that your monitoring software would report that! Even a simple connection to port 25, as long as it returns a status code, " if there is no monitor system " only way is You won't get e-mail from outside your organization. Port 25 won't right???

Yes, port 25 won't. But unless you've managed to convince the rest of the Internet to send you e-mail on some other port I think my statement was correct. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
