Initialization Failure 0x0000005

I am not a teckie so I may not be on the correct place to pose this request for help. I downloaded QQ International several months ago and it has been working fine until recently. Now, whenever I try to open the program I get the message "Initialization Failure 0x0000005". I have removed and reinstalled the program with no change to the message. I really need to use this program to keep in touch with my friends in China. Please tell me what I need to do to get this working again.
