Install Exchange Management tools without Enterprise admin permissions
Hi,This might seem like an newbie question but it still confuses me. We have an customer that tries to install just the Exchange 2010 management tools in their Domain. The domain and forest is Exchange prepped but the Exchange server is installed in another forest that they have trust to. When the installation program pre check the org does it just complains that the domain is not prepped and the user is not an member of the enterprise admin group. The user is not a member of the enterprise admin group and does not want to prep the domain once more as that demands a change and other users to do the prep again.. Could the problem actually be that the exchange org that he types just exist in another forest... You can't say that the installation demands that you are enterprise admin... :)

Hi,We meed to use a domain account that has local administrative privileges. Besides, if you do not want extend AD schema, then I recommend you to use remote powershell to manage exchange. We do not need to install Exchange Management Tools on the machine.

the account is local admin and domain admin.... But that does not help as the org check fails and demands enterprise admin??The installation is for the service desk and they prefer GUI so we need the consol... :)

Eh... Then how about to use ECP to manage Exchange? It also can be used by administrator to admin the Exchange Server. Regards,Xiu
