Install Exchange Server 2007 SP3
Dear All, I'm trying to upgrade my Exchange Server 2007 SP1 to SP3 level. Unfortunately I have no success. The prerequisite test runs through and then the installation starts, but after some time the exsetupui.exe crash and the installation is aborted. I have an Exchange Setup.log and a ExchangeSetupWatson.log. Unfortunately I don't see a way to upload both text files here. Howerver in the ExchangeSetup.log the last entry is this: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. With same time tag I have an error in the application log: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4216- Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. So I guess it's related to .NET and not hardware. I have .NET Framwork 3.5 SP1, .NET Framework 4 Client Profile and .NET Framework 4 Extended installed on the server. The server runs Windows Server 2008 SP2 How can i fix it for installing Exchange 2007 SP3? Thanks, Edy

Hi Edy I need information of your server. Does exchange 2007 install on SBS 2008 server? According to our policy, you should open thread on SBS forum. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/smallbusinessserver/threads Let’s analyze the problem. 1. It is SBS problem. You should remove sharepoint and .net4. You can read this similar case. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/smallbusinessserver/thread/b6bfa9a9-a76e-4309-86f2-13302ef9bc3b 2. It is AD database problem. Please run exbpa and delete any legacy exchange server.

Hi Thanks, it's not a SBS server, but Sharepoint 2010 was installed on the same box. I removed SP, since it was for testing only. Thereafter I could install SP3 for Exchange 2007. Thank you Edy
