Hi all,I have Exchange 2007 standard installed in our environment and its current role are (Hub transport, Mailbox server and client access) We are adding another exchange server and I’m not sure what type of role should I assign to the secondary server. Can I have two servers with Hub transport role running in one Domain?We are planning on using this secondary server for OWA and Mailbox server only; do I need to install the hub transport role as well for it to talk with the primary exchange server? And also we only have two Domain controllers running on windows 2003.Thank you, Jepoy

You can install two servers with the Hub role in one domain, and you should. On the second server, which will contain additional mailboxes, install all three roles.You could have opted for not installing the Hub role on the second server. No, you run Setup.com /PrepareSchema only once for the whole forest and Setup.com /PrepareDomain for each domain.Here you say that you are installing into the same domain.
