Installing Exchange 2007 w/SP1 on Server 2008 R2.
Hi, Guys. I've downloaded the behemoth that is Exchange 2007 with SP1 from the volume licensing service center, which at 5.6GB combined with being in Australia was quite taxing (literally and figuratively). It's safe to say I'm not keen on having to do this again, yet I've run into a show-stopper in that the Setup.exe doesn't render correctly. This basically means that in the absence of knowing what the commands are to kick off the installation process manually I'm stuck. I'm not really having a lot of luck with Bing / Google at this point in time either, as everything is coming back pointing to Exchange 2010. Has anyone else come across and resolved launcher issues, or perhaps has a reference to any command lines related to kicking off an installation? I'll keep Binging / Googling, as I've really only looked in a half-hearted fashion, but I thought I'd throw this question out to the forum audience sooner rather than later. Cheers,Lain

Not exactly the response I was looking for, but I suspect this is what I'm up against: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947283 I really wouldn't have expected to have been up against this from a volume licensing download. At least, not one of this magnitude. Cheers,Lain

Looks like I only have myself to blame, as it didn't take long to find out that Exchange 2007 isn't supported in 2008 R2 in any case, so that makes the initial question rather redundant. Cheers,Lain
