We have an activity of installing few Security Update Patches and Post SP3 Update Roll-up patch on our Exchange 2000 Servers. I was able to install Post SP3 patch on one server successfully. This is a pre-requisite for installing the security patches. After installing that I was not able to install any of security patches KB906780, KB894689, KB931832, KB959897 & KB894549. When I try to install any patch the installation screen appeared, however there was no progress. I checked the usage of memory for the update.exe in Task Manager which remained constantly at 6,368 Kb. The task appeared running in the task manager but there were no files getting installed, the hard disk space did not fall by even 1 KB. I waited for 45 mins before I aborted it. Now on another server it did not allow me to install Post SP3 update roll up itself. Same issues, no progress of installation. There are many OS patches missing from the servers, can this be an issue. If yes then I want to understand how it got installed in first sererwhich also has all those OS patches missing.The installer stops progressing right after it reaches the "Runnining processes before install". I've left it for over45 minutes and it doesn't budge beyond that..Any idea what may be causing this?Any idea or suggestion will be very helpful.CheersNitinAll are our Servers are Win2k3 with E2k on it.
