How can I go about and install exchange 2007 on server 2008 standard, when I try to it shows me a compatibility message. I have both 2007 32 and 64 bit available but it will not except it.

You need to download Exchange 2007 with sp3 from the this link : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/bb330843.aspx . I hope this will solve your problem.
