Integrating PST's to Exchange 2007/ActiveSync
Hi!
We are currently running Exhange 2007 SP1.
We have an external sister company of about 100 users, the management have decided that the sister company should be integrated into our network. They have their own Exchange 2007 infrastructure and use ActiveSync for mobile devices.
The plan was to export their mailboxes to a PST. We would then create mail enabled AD accounts in our network for them.
Some questions (ignore anything related to MX records as we are already sorting that).
i) Is it possible to import PST files into Exchange directly, or is the best way to create new mailboxes and import the PST files to their Outlook
ii) Regarding ActiveSync - I don't know much about it! Does it keep the same number of messages as there are in a user's mailbox on the mobile device, or does it only keep the last 5 days/the last 100 messages like Blackberry?
iii) When the swap happens, would they need to wipe all the emails from their mobile devices and start a new sync to our Exchange server? In which case, is there anyway to get those emails back again apart from moving them to their new mailbox (if they were in a PST) and re-syncing?
Anything else we should be aware of?

Well try to answer part of the Questions:i) Yes it possible, however you need to create the mailboxes first...however you should create mailboxes and put the pst files o their Outlook Profilesii)i,m not sure.iii)it is not necessary to wipe the devices, just reconfigure the active sync profile.CapecolMCSA - MCTS Exchange Server 2007 - 2010
