Exchange 2013 SP1 with 1 DAG and 2 server members. We have 1 send connector that allows us to send email to the internet. In the scoping section, under Source server, we have only 1 server listed in there and it is the server that holds the active copy. Should the 2nd server be listed in there too?

I agree with jim.

In case if the DB failover or the server failover happens then on that time you will face the issues on the mail flow to internet.

So at least you need to have all the mailbox servers in the primary site to be added on the source server list in the send connector to internet.
