i have carried out a many of cross forest migrations for different organizations, now am going to perform an Intra-Forest and move the user accounts from child domain to parent domain in the same forest which has an Exchange 2010 installed in both domains. for user migration am going to use ADMT as  usual but the question is what will happen with the mailbox after the user migration from child to parent domain as it will be destroyed from source and add to the destination domain, will the mailbox be reconnected again to the user automatically without any interaction  or do i need to do extra steps before or after the user account migration??

Try it on a test mailbox and see.  My experience is that it is no problem.  Just be sure ADMT moves the Exchange attributes and SI
