We're in a mixed E2K3/E2K7 mode and have some groups that have invalid aliases due to a space or an invalid character. The fix is relatively easy, but my concern is about the possible impact of changing these alias names. What happens to permissions for the mail-enabled security groups? Will user's lose their permissions to either a mailbox or folder for which they've been permissioned with these groups? Ted

Hello Ted, Permissions apply by identifyinguser/object with its SID, it doesnt apply based on aliases so there isnt any loss of permission.
