Invitees getting invitations to conference room even though room declines invitation.
Hi there, Mea culpa: This is my first time utilizing resources mailboxes. I have a couple of conference rooms set up for a company in Exchange 2010 SP1. The auto-booking agent is turned on and is set to decline conflicting appointments. We're testing out various things. (Or, I should say, a user is testing this out remotely.) And one thing we've noticed is the following scenario: 1. Create a new appointment. Book the conference room for tomorrow between 10am and 12pm. 2. auto-agent accepts. 3. Create a new appointment. Invite Room and another person. Set for tomorrow between 1030am and 11am. 4. Auto-agent declines. 5. Other person gets appointment invitation. I realize at this point I can choose to reschedule the appointment and update the invitations, but I gotta think the people invited, unaware of the room's decline, would be misinformed as to the meeting's time. I'm asking this primarily because a lot of our users will be on iPhones and they can't see what's happening on the conference room's calendar (at least in no easy way that I've found). But they have the rights to send the room invitations and (with luck) have them accepted. It seems that they'd have to just keep sending invites to the room until it responds with an acceptance, then update the appointment to include the people they want to invite. My brain hurts.
