Is Offline defragmentation increase the performance of the exchange 2003?
Offline defragmentation clean the whitespace of the exchnage database, is there any other
Benefits after running offline difrag, is it increase the
performance of the exchange 2003.

Unless there's a problem with the database there's very little benefit
to an offline defrag. In fact, after that database is remounted all
the indexes associated with client's "views" (and there are 11 of
those for each folder in a mailbox) must be regenerated. The database
will also have to grow to allow for new messages. And let's not even
consider that the mailboxes won't be usable while the database is
dismounted!

As I understand it, defragmentation does result in some optimization.

Agree with Rich, BUT i have seen one backup time improvement if defrag databse which is larger or defrag disk/LUN.
