Is a Public Folder calendar's free/busy info viewable?
I have apublic folder calendar in Exchange 2007 SP1 that is mail enabled. Should I beable to view the free/ busy information when I schedule an appointment using Outlook 2007? Thanks

Public folders that are set up as calendars do not publish Free/Busy data. This behavior is by design ----- KB 260724 But outlooks Group Schedules feature can display Free/Busy information for calendar public folders, you can use KB 293162 to set up Since you are using exchange 2007, Id like to suggest using room mailbox to replace calendar public folder, which can show Free/Busy information without any further configuration References: How to Create a Room Mailbox Managing Resource Mailboxes in Exchange Server 2007

Thank you. I had wanted to go with the Public Folder calendar because the user needs many calendars and I wantedhim to be responsible formaintaining these calendars. Looks like it is time for some Rooms.
