Hi all,

I have an Excel add-in.I am trying to install the add-in Excel 2013.While Installing I am getting an error message

The value of the property 'type' cannot be parsed.The error is:Could not load file or assembly'Microsoft.Office.Businessapplication.Fba,Version=14.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies.The system cannot find the file specified.(C:\Programfiles(x86)\Commonfiles\Microsoftshared\VSTO\10.0\VSTOInstaller.exe.Config line10)

Even though I get this error my add-in is installed properly and it works fine.

1.Can I know what is the cause for this error message to  occur.

2.What kind of assembly is Microsoft.Office.Businessapplication.Fba

3.Are these type of errors common in Office 2013 in windows 8 and if so why?

What add-in did you install?

And based on my research, this error maybe caused by the Office is removed. So first, try to repair Office to check the issue.

Also, check to see whether there is some other program need to be installed first before install the add-in.
