Issue when using Send On Behalf & replying to messages
Background: Exchange 2007 SP3/Outlook 2K3 and Outlook 2010 We have an issue with a mailbox that’s shared by several people. The mailbox is setup with Send on Behalf and Full mailbox perms for the users. Each user has the mailbox added to their Outlook client as an additional mailbox. When replying to email in the Shared mailbox the user adds the FROM button and then populates it with the shared mailbox address. The problem: When messages are replied to they (the reply msg) are automatically placed in the user’s own SENT folder in Outlook – not in the shared mailbox’s SENT folder. Is there any way to force these replies to be stored in the shared mailbox’s SENT folder instead? I know that this is behavior by design - but I would like to get around this somehow. Thanks much!

Thanks for the quick reply. I read over the article and it's a good solution except my users don't want to manually move those messages from their sent folder to the shared mailbox's sent folder. Would you suggest any other alternative to handle such a request? Thanks again!

Thanks for the correction! The article talks about Outlook 2007 though - I couldn't find the following registry string: ((You configure the "DelegateSentItemsStyle" registry entry for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. To do this, you set the DWORD value of the following registry key to 1: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Preferences\DelegateSentItemsStyle)) Neither Outlook 2003 or 2010 have this entry. Thanks for your help!
