Issues viewing user's Free/Busy
Hi Running Exchange 2007 SP3. I have a user - user1@domain.com, who says that he is getting reports that some people cannot see his Free/Busy time in Outlook. It is seems to be greyed out/unavailable, which means that peolpe find it hard to organise meetings with him. This is affecting only a small number of people within our company. Everyone else can see his F/B fine, including me. Any ideas on where to troubleshoot this? Our mail clients are Outlook 2007 only

So, the issue you are encountering is that, some users (I assume it is UserA) could not see User1’s free/busy information, which is available of all other users in your company. Can userA see another user’s free/busy information? Please run Test Email AutoConfiguration in UserA’s Outlook; and test the URLs returned in IE to see if there is any errors. Of UserA can see other users’ Free/busy information; please collect the information via the cmdlets below and the Event log from servers for further analysis: Ldifde Get-Adpermission Let me know if there is anything unclear. Can you tell me what we'd expect to find in the below: Ldifde Get-Adpermission

So, UserA can see anyone except User1; all user exclude UserA can see User1. If this is the scenario, verify the Calendar folder permission of User1, make sure UserA is not blocked. The cmdlet helps to query user permission. It is not need based on the current situation. Fiona

Hi Abhi, Thanks for your post and reminder. You are correct that a reply should be marked as answer by the original poster after the issue is resolved, or someone who has verified/confirmed the suggestion. However, sometimes there is no response from the original poster; to help others who encounter the same issue, we generally mark the very possible reply as answer--based on our experience. Your understanding would be appreciated. Now I have unmarked my suggestion and let us wait for the response for a couple days. Again, thanks for your post. Fiona
