Issues with upgrade from Exchange 2003 standard to Enterprise edition
Hi I have a couple of questions re the Exchange server 2003 edition. (1) When we set up the enterprise 2003 edition with multiple public stores and wanted to export the data from the single public store on the current Standard version, it wasnt possible. Is there any way to achieve this? (2) Also we want public folders to be accessible to users via Outlook. Is this possible? and if yes, how do we do this? Thanks

Unless you have got some web programmers, you are probably *not* in good shape with respect from getting your public folder data moved over from the NON-MAPI public folder tree over to the MAPI public folder tree. One way that you might be able to move the data over would be to use the Exchange Installable File System (ExIFS) (a.k.a. the M:\ drive). That would let you access/view all of the public folder stores via the M:\ drive. You could move content between the stores that way. Take a look at this article: http://www.petri.co.il/exifs_access_to_alternate_pf_trees_in_exchange_2003.htm The only public folder tree that is accessible via Outlook is the MAPI public folder tree, the default public folder tree.
