Items in Inbox not showing up ... a new twist on an old problem!
Okay, here's how it is: I saw an email arrive via the "alert" box which flashes on my screen. I went to Inbox, it isn't there. Fortunately I saw who it was from, so I searched their name in Inbox, nothing came up. I repeated the search on "All Items" & there it is. I hover over it, & it says that it is in Inbox. I repeat search on Inbox & it doesn't show up. I go back to the message & flag it "for follow up". I go to my follow up box; it isn't there. Fine I have found this message & can respond, but I do not know how many more messages are hidden in this "secret" Inbox, because I cannot locate it. It is clearly a different Inbox to the one I use regularly, though the spelling etc. is identical. Any suggestions?

Hi, Try to see if the mail can be seen using OWA (and/or Outlook in online mode). I assume that you are using Outlook in cached mode - could be an issue with the OST file. Leif

If not, asking your question in an Outlook forum would be appropriate. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
