Just got a domain name. Help with getting it into exchange
Hello, I am new to making any changes to exchange and I figure this is a simple solution. I have SBS 2003 with a pop3 connector to my ISP it gets the mail and distributesto a group of five users (Takes up alot of disk space!!!). And setup each computers Outlookwith the pop3 and smtp in order to send mail. The problem. Now I have registered a domain and have it hosted. If I send an e-mail from exchange, the recipient cannont reply to it because the reply address is abc@def.local but if I change the recipent policy to abc@domain.com and make it primary, the emails I send have the correct reply address, but when they come back the don't get distrubuted. If I send email internal to users it works fine. Hope this is a good enough explanation. Thanks in advance, Newbie

Have you configured your Exchange environment to accept and deliver mail from this new domain name? Simply adding the new domain into the RUS may not accomplish that depending on your inbound SMTP configuration.
