I wonder if somebody else have experienced the same as myself.

After applying kb3087126 for Exchange server 2013 cu9, all the database copies in the DAG had content indexes that had status failed and I couldn't move databases to them.

I found the reason were that the patch disabled the HostControllerService (microsoft exchange search host controller). I cannot find any documentations saying that it would happen and why. After starting the service the content indexes went back to healthy status.

Anyone seen this?

Happy to hear you find the reason and solution.

But I had never encouraged the issue and found none related situation.

I suggest you can contact Microsoft to confirm if it is a bug :
