Language error running eseutil
We need to test an offline defrag for a customer to see how long this will take on their hardware for their numerous mail stores. We restored a mail store to a recovery server (recovery storage group), which is in the same Exchange Organization as the live server. The backup originally came from the main server and restored OK, store mounted OKI ran the command "eseutil /d mailboxstorens.edb /p " which started running through OK and ran for about 18 Hours. But at the end I got the error:"Operation terminated with error -1062 (JET_errInvalidLanguageId, Invalid or unknown language id) after 72481.188 seconds."I have seen references to this error when you run eseutil on a computer without Exchange Server but this server DOES have Exchange installed. The only differences I can see between the live Exchange server and the recovery one is that the live one has additional Asian language support installed. Also, the recovery server is set to English (United States) under "Language for non-unicode programs"Is one of these differences likely to be the problem and, if so which one ?Thanks

I would install the language pack and set it as exactly as the production server.

Eseutil isnt very smart utility so even I would install the support for east asian languages. I have seen this problem corrected after you install the language pack.Milind Naphade | MCTS:M (Exchange 2007 and 2010) | http://www.msexchangegeek.com
