License and DBs
Hi, in the description of the Standar edition it says you are allowed to have 5 database PER SERVER. If I set up 2 standard servers and use DAG, does that mean I can have a total of 10 DB´s or only 5 ?

You could only have 5, because they exist on both servers. If you configured 10 and the server failed, then you would have all 10 on the same server, which Exchange wouldn't allow. Of course what I have written above could be completely wrong. When it comes to licencing, only Microsoft can provide answers that can be depended on. I agree with Simon. Just to add though if you have 5 active copies on one and 5 passive copies on another, you are mounting 5 per server. So you won't be able to have 5 active on each server and 5 passive copies, just 5 total. These license limitations are different to eCal type issues as you'll see the effects of the licensing when you actually try to mount the DBs. IIRC the trial edition reverts to Standard edition behaviour so you can test this in a lab environment. SteveSteve Goodman Check out my Blog for more Exchange info or find me on Twitter
