Licensing requirements for Resource Mailboxes
We currently have a Proof of Concept environment for Exchange 2007 w/UM setup and I am curious if resource mailboxes (such as room mailboxes and equipment mailboxes) require an additional CAL to be purchased.

No they do not, you only require CAL's for the actual users who will be accessing the server via either mapi, owa, outlook anywhere, pop3, imap, active sync or ova.
