Limit Meeting room Conflicts
I have created a equipment mailbox so that we can book a training resource that we have two licenses for. Can i limit the calandar to allow 2 people to book a meeting at a time or is it not possible? If not i'm guessing that i'll have to create a resource for each license which is not ideal.

You can allow conflicts, and specify the maximum number of conflicts to allow. You can set this in EMS, or open the resource mailbox in OWA, Select Option (upper LH), then over in the Options pane scroll down to Resource Settings, select that, and find the resource Scheduling Options. There you can specify where to allow conflicts, and the maximum number of conflicts to allow.

Thanks for replying to me... How do you do that in EMS because we don't have acces to OWA.

I tried that earlier and it didn't seem to work so i looked up the "maximumconflictinstances" definition and it said the following -"Use the MaximumConflictInstances parameter to set the maximum number of conflicts allowed for recurring meetings"Is that definitely the option that you would use to restrict conflicts when booking a meeting room?

Let me do some research. I may have been mistaken about being able to set it for single instance conflicts.

No worries, thanks for your help so far.

Looks like you're right - the conflict settings only apply to recurring meetings.

Hi Joanne,
I am afraid that it is not possible to allow only one conflict. Nevertheless, I think that you can configure RequestOutOfPolicy to allow some users to submit out-of-policy requests. Out-of-policy requests are subject to approval by a resource mailbox delegate.
