Hi Javi Somoza

It's not possible :(

because the client just communicate with CAS not active directory.

  1. Client connect to CAS and enter (User Name & Password) encrypted by certificate
  2. CAS will received username and password encrypted by certificate and delivered it to active directory for authentication.
  3. If user name and password is correct the CAS will open connection to mailbox server.

client connect only with CAS servers, client not connected directly to mailbox (unless exchange 2007) or active directory, i mean by Client (outlook,OWA,ECP,..)

I don't think that the CAS can be authenticate according to computer name or IP, also CAS can log the computer name that the client connected.

Hi Somoza,

Thank you for your question.

I agree with Attia. It is not possible. It is by design.

But we could configure the specific client connect to the specific Exchange server.

We could refer to the following link:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd298114(v=exchg.150).aspx

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Hi Jim

I dont understand.

What do you mean with "we could configure the specific client connect to the specific Exchange server"?

I tried to investigate the link but its the generic link to Exchange Client Access role.

Thanks

Hi Javi,

I am sorry that I let you confused. Because the client has a specific IP and we could create a receive connect on the specific Exchange CAS server .

But we didnt meet you requirement to limit mailbox usage to certain computer.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
