Link or change a user's Personal Calendar to a shared Calendar
We are using Exchange 2003 with Outlook clients. We have a shared user Calendar in our Exchange organization, for company-wide appointments. This calendar is setup in everyone's Outlook as an additional calendar, that everyone can read and post appointments to. Is there a way to link, replicate, or replace an Outlook user's personal calendar with this "shared" company calendar? The reason I need to is this: we have Smartphones in our company setup to link with Exchange for email. Unfortunately, the particular Smartphone this user has will only download items from one Outlook Calendar, and only from his "personal" one on the server connected with his account. The user never uses his personal calendar, only the company shared one.

It is not possible natively in Exchange but some third-party tools can be useful here... Or, configure the forward setting on the shared calendar’s mailbox via ADUC, and then user can get a copy of each message that being sent to the shared calendar’s mailboxJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

James: Thank you for the answer. I did want to ask: will this work for Calander entries? I know I can do the forwarding for email messages. But in this case it is the Calander we want to synch.

Amit: Thank you for the answer. It certainly seems that a third party solution is needed in the case. There are so many things out there, that it is very helpful when someone suggests something that will work.
