List or estimate old emails in databases Exchange 2007 SP2
You can use Export-Mailbox, but it's not as comprehensive as the search capaibility in Exchange 2010, which itself isn't great. http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2006/12/18/3397563.aspxEd Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

I don't think you have the Exact alternative in 2007 -- The Only Alternative for Search-Mailbox is Export-Mailbox in Exchange 2007 where it can query using start date and end date to a PST http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998579(v=EXCHG.80).aspxSatheshwaran Manoharan | Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2013 | Blog:http://www.careexchange.in | Please mark it as an answer if it really helps you ------------- I do not represent the organisation I work for, all the opinions expressed here are my own. Hello JADAOT, In Exchange 2007, it doesn't have command search-mailbox. If you need to search mailboxes in Exchange 2007, you can follow Ed and Satheshwaran's suggestion to use Export-mailbox. Hello, I would estimate the number of emails older than a specified date on all my databases. In MS-Exchange 2010 the search-mailbox cmdlet with option -SearchQuery seems to answer my question but in MS-Exchange 2007 SP2 how can I do? A tool, a script.... ? The goal is to scale my datastores for archiving and decide which configuration to choose when we upgrade to MS-Exchange 2010 Thank you in advance

Hi, I thought I had a few names of tools...but if itis the only answer... that is a pity (not the answer for which I thank you but the lack of real solution) because provide sizes of the migrated datastores with that it is still very difficult. I'm talking about databases with hundreds of GB... Not a single mailbox. Make an export is not feasible
