Login with email not working

Hello everyone

I'm currently having an issue with my Test Exchange environment.

I have just set the authentication to UPN for OWA, which would allow me to login with an email adress if i'm right.

After some testing I have set the authentication of IIS OWA to Form-Based, to check if that would solve it. But it didn't.

Also, after enabling FormBased Authentication it hangs on "Still working on it"

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Setup:
2x Exchange 2013 cu8 Server 2012 R2
2x DC Server 2012 R2

kind regards

Setting OWA authentication as UPN does NOT allow you to use email address to logon, unless your email address is same as UPN. As the name suggested, you need to input your AD user principal name not email address.

Thank you for your reply, i just tested it and you are correct.

I must have been informed incorrectly by some users.

Any ideas how i can make them login with their email adresses? We have multiple domains in our Exchange, so i dont know how to add the domain in the UPN list.

Kind regards

To add your email domain to the UPN domain list, you need to go to Active Directory Domain and Truest console with Enterprise Admin right.

Once the email domain is added, you can then change the user UPN domain.

I have added the domain suffix and set it to the user. Webmail is working now, but how do i login to Outlook?
For example, i have domain1 as primary, and added domain2 as suffix. Now Outlook asks my credentials, do i need to use domain2\username or does this not work

For outlook, you can use either format, domain1\user (same as before) or user@domain2.com (UPN).

For some kind of reason it can not connect.

After trying both of those options it does not accept the credentials.
Domain1 as well as Domain2

I think i broke something, but i'm not sure because everything is as basic as is can be.

Can this be an issue with autodiscover?

OWA is working perfectly
