Long Running Transactions
It is my understanding that Exchange SP3 adds a new feature that monitors long running transactions. Is it possible to then terminate a long running transaction?

Is it possible to terminate the transaction once it's been identified?

Its doesnt really work that way, no. You would really need to do further troubleshooting with perfmon, Extra and maybe Microsoft support to determine what was causing the issue.

I thank you very much for your help, Mr. Wang----I have read the Microsoft " new policy" and I am not sure that I quite understand it. It seems to read that I will have to pay for services from Microsoft for the use of Windows 7 ---- most of much
of which I do not use. (The software came installed with my computer.) Years ago, I was learning the use of Windows XP thru my late husband , thus, I did change my password. I do not use E-Bay, I do not play games via internet, I do not use Bing and
I do NOT use Windows live Messenger, ---- I do not use credit cards----and I do not want a cellphone. I do not give out my personal info via phone/internet except to my immmediate family, and friends via Facebook. My HP laptop, which I had purchased
at Staples, here in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is out of warranty, now. My HP laptop, which I am really enjoying, was sent to Markham, Ontario, about 2 years ago, by a tech at at Staples, because I had acquired a virus--whom had taken over the name
of my deceased fellow and had sent e-mails to all of my family and friends who were on my list of contacts. Turns out that it was some hacker from USA who was trying to sell illegal drugs to people, and everyone on on my small list of contacts. Also, I have
had hackers with really strange accents calling my home phone number "telling me that they are from Microsoft and that I have a virus and that they can fix it up for me". I am well aware of that scam----I have been aware of that scam for a long time.
I am not quite sure, if I can sign up for the Microsoft "new policy" as I am not sure if it is them. Thank you, once again for answering, Yours sincerely, Eran Constable, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
