Lost Track Changes

I am reviewing a Word document created by a different author. I made many changes to the document with track changes on, as well as multiple comments. I saved about every 10 minutes during a period of about 6 hours of editing.

I had the document open on my laptop and to be safe, I thought I would email the document to my gmail and Outlook email accounts so that if I dropped or lost the laptop I would be OK. Instead of saving and closing the document and opening Outlook to send the document as an attachment as I normally would do, I used the "Save & Send, Send as Attachment" feature under "File."

When I re-opened the document, all of the comments were there, but none of the track change edits. I've tried all the permutations of options under the "Tracking" button, including "Final: Show Markup." I've also checked that "All Reviewers" is turned on.

Any thoughts or input would be deeply appreciated as I've already put several hours worth of effort into this.

Thanks,

Joe

Hi,

According to your description, my understanding is that you reviewed a Word document and added some track changes. After your using "Save & Send, Send as Attachment" feature to send it as an attachment, the track changes all lots. I recommend your try to choose "Original Showing Markup" to test.

If it still lost them, please try to refer to the link to find the temp file to test:
