Lync installation failure

I'm deploying Lync 2013 w/SP1 to my test group (in my company, that's the whole IT department) upgrading from 2010.

I went through the whole Office Configuration Tool, set everything up nicely. Go to deploy and only 12 of 140 machines sucessfully installed.

I set it up to remove the 2010 client with a normal uninstall, then install the lync using setup.exe /adminfile myco.msp.

I changed the MSP file so it wasn't silent and ran it on one of the failures and got an error that it was looking for a file.

"Setup cannot find Office.en-us\ShellUI.mst. Browse to a valid installation source and then click OK"

The install is being run locally (through SCCM set to download and run install locally). I can see the file in the x86 folder. I did check drive permisions, they're ok. Rebooted. I did try replacing the Admin folder as was suggested in one MS blog and importing the existing MSP.

None of this worked. Any one seen or been able to correct this?

Hi,

Based on the research, most of the similar cases turned out to be permission related.

Check the file permission of "Office.en-us\ShellUI.mst", is it different from others'?

I did verify the permisions on the drive, and even replaced permissions, still no luck.
