I don't have an issue with Calendar and Junk E-mails they are being processed properly and being moved to the delete items folder. What I am having issues is with "Deleted Items" I have this set to delete on move date after 35 days. I understand that after
the first time running against my mailbox I should see a property field tagged on the items of 0x67170102
but I do not see this being added. Since the elcmovedate property isn't being marked on items they are not being deleted after 35 days from the deleted items folder. I'm wondering if I have the policy linked properly I think I do since the other rules
are working.
Any insight would be amazing!

The output seems correct, just a note, it seems like you're not on SP3 or any SP for 2007, if this is the case then it's not supported, I suggest you go to SP3 RU7 then try and post back.Sukh

We are SP3 RU 3v2 for our whole environment.

I would consider
MRM logging to help track it down.
That ExchangeVersion refers to the minimum version required to manage the objects, not the actual Exchange version.

Cheers.
I assume you have tried to manually run against a mbx as a test and check?
Tried moving the mbx to another DB and run manually and check property?
Also enable logging as suggested above.Sukh

This is happening environment wide on all DB's. I think next step is trying it in an isolated environment.

Hi,
I have never found that the triggerforRetions action "WhenMoved" has been working well for the Deleted Items Folder. I have tried it many times and it always ends up that Im using "WhenDelivered" instead. That has always
worked for me.
The above is what I wrote in this
thred and I still belive so.
I'm guessing that is has to do with how emails are beeing (or not) tagged with a moved date depening on a user is using the Delete Button or if the the item is actually moved (drag & drop).

Hi,
Please understand that ElcMoveDate property will not be present at all until the
Managed Folder Assistant has run on the folder and stamped the item. The first time the Managed Folder Assistant runs, it stamps every item with the ElcMoveDate property and the current timestamp. To clarify, this only applies to
folders with Managed Content Settings set to "When item is moved to the folder."
The Managed Folder Assistant will not delete any items at that point, unless there was somehow an existing item with an ElcMoveDate outside the retention period.

I imported my mailbox to our dev environment with same service pack roll update levels. After I created the exact MRM policies and content settings I ran MRM agaist my mailbox, after running it properly stamped my messages with ElcMoveDate. It appears something
in my prod environment is stopping this from being stamped. Is there a way to turn on even more verbose logging for MRM other than the usual start processing?

I can see this property via MFCMapi in our Dev environment. I exported my full mailbox and imported it into our dev environment created the exact same policies and ran it against my mailbox. This property showed up in Dev but not in prod. I'm wondering if I
can turn on more verbose logging to see why its not adding this property in Prod.
Thanks,
Alex

Hi,
You can try to raise the diagnostic logging level to expert for MRM and then monitor the event log.

I have ran the following to turn up logging but it doesn't seem to add anything to the log file or in the event viewer
Set-EventLogLevel -id "MSExchangeMailboxAssistants\Email_Lifecycle_Assistant" -level expert
I don't think I need to restart any services for this to go active.

That may not be enough, you may have to take some tracing which you can setup but wont be able to view as it's needs MSFT support to convert.Sukh

Does anyone think it could be a permissions issue at the database level?
