MSExchangeFBPublish Event ID 8275 SchedulePlusFreeBusy Folder Error
I have my public folders hosted in an Exchange 2007 CCR cluster. Everything is working fine in regards to free/busy. I have a Stand Alone Exchange 2007 Server in a remote location that all of a sudden is displaying the error in the event logs every night @ 2 am. I noticed it after the server had some OS patches applied to it in February. This past weekend I upgraded all my Exchange 2007 servers to SP2 and applied RU4 hoping it would resolve it and I'm still seeing the error. Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchangeFBPublish Event Category: General Event ID: 8275 Date: 5/21/2010 Time: 2:00:17 AM User: N/A Computer: EXMB01 Description: SchedulePlusFreeBusy folder could not be opened for duplicate message deletion on virtual machine EXMB01. The error number is 0x80040115. (Or The error number is 0x80004005 on some nights) For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. I have tried failing over the CCR cluster to the other node and I still getting the error. I've gone through some of the posts here referencing this error but they seem to apply to the error occurring on the CCR cluster. The CCR cluster itself is working great with no free/busy errors.

0x80040115 is a network connectivity error. 0x80040005 is "unspecified error". First, make sure the public store is mounted. Second, make sure that the system folder exists. What version of Outlook are you running? If everyone is Outlook 2007, you don't need public folder-based free-busy data. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." . Thanks for responding Ed. The public store is mounted. The network connectivity error would make sence since it's a remote location, but why at 2am every day? The only thing I can think of is this is trying to occur during backups. Is this schedule controlled by the maintenance schedule? All the clients are Outlook 2007. How would I go about disabling public folder based free/busy?

Is there any error information for the remote server after run ExBPA? Please check the replica status by running the cmdlet below: Get-PublicFolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY" -Recurse |flJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

Is that entire output? What I want to know is the replica list of the subfolders of the “SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY” folderJames Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

that's the entire output. There's one folder under it named "EX:/o=ExchOrg/ou=Exchange Administrative Group...." I ran ExPBA on the server and everything came back fine. Well, I found out I was running old storage and network drivers...but besides that all good.

Please check the output of the folder “EX:/o=ExchOrg/ou=Exchange Administrative Group....", ensure it has the proper public folder database replica James Luo TechNet Subscriber Support (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/ms788697.aspx) If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tngfb@microsoft.com

I'm getting this exact message and I don't see where there was a resolution above. Can anyone tell me if an answer was found to this problem? Thanks in advance.

I'm still having the issue. I'm in the middle of rolling out email to 5000 users so I haven't been able to work on this any more. The wierd thing with this is that I have 3 mailbox servers. 2 CCR Clusters and 1 stand alone running all roles. The stand alone server is the one I'm having this error on.

The wierd thing with this is that I have 3 mailbox servers. 2 CCR Clusters and 1 stand alone running all roles. The stand alone server is the one I'm having this error on. It looks like it has something to do with replicating public folder information from the single node to the CCR cluster server. Microsoft indicated there are significant differences between public folder replication and CCR replication. They only want you to have one public folder location when you have a CCR cluster. Either in the cluster or out of the cluster. Make sure replication has completed successfully to the node you want it to be on and get ride of the other location. In my case we had the public folders in the CCR cluster, but we had a separate public folder database on the HT server for the offline address book. I'll have to move the offline address book from the PF database on the HT server and put it on the CCR cluster. Microsoft says that should fix it.

We don't have a public folder database on the single server. We do have one on each CCR cluster but this has been set like this for a long time before the errors started.
