MSExchangeIS 9665
I'm using Exchange 2003 Enterprise edition on a Windows 2003 member server, standard edition. I get thewarning Source: MSExchangeIS EventID: 9665 The memory settings for this server are not optimal for exchange. I have added /3GB and /Userva 3030 to the boot.ini file. I have also changed the HeapDecommitFreeBlockThreshold registry key to 0x00040000. I have 4GB of memory installed in my server. What can I do to stop this warning? Thanks, Bob

If you are using the /USERVA=3030 switch in the boot.ini file make sure that you have systempages = 0 in the registry. HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management. Once this has been done you may have to restart the IS to remove the errors from the event viewer. Before implementing you should do your own research to determine the impact of the settings.

Thank you. That took care of the warning. Bob
