MSExchange ADAccess
I am having troubles installing Exchange 2007 in my test domain. I keep getting an error. It is as follows: A transient failure has occurred. The problem may resolve itself in awhile. The service will retry in 56 seconds. Diagnostic information: Could not find any available Domain Controller. Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.ADTransientException: Could not find any available Domain Controller. at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.ConnectionPoolManager.GetConnection(ConnectionType connectionType, ADObjectId domain, String serverName, Int32 port, NetworkCredential credential) at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.ConnectionPoolManager.GetConnection(ConnectionType connectionType) at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.ADSession.GetConnection(String preferredServer, Boolean isWriteOperation, Boolean isNotifyOperation, ADObjectId& rootId) at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.ADSession.GetReadConnection(String preferredServer, ADObjectId& rootId) at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.ADSession.Find(ADObjectId rootId, String optionalBaseDN, ADObjectId readId, QueryScope scope, QueryFilter filter, SortBy sortBy, Int32 maxResults, IEnumerable`1 properties, CreateObjectDelegate objectCreator, CreateObjectsDelegate arrayCreator) at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.ADSession.Find(ADObjectId rootId, QueryScope scope, QueryFilter filter, SortBy sortBy, Int32 maxResults, IEnumerable`1 properties, CreateObjectDelegate objectCtor, CreateObjectsDelegate arrayCtor) at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.ADSession.Find[TResult](ADObjectId rootId, QueryScope scope, QueryFilter filter, SortBy sortBy, Int32 maxResults, IEnumerable`1 properties) at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.SystemConfiguration.ADSystemConfigurationSession.Find[TResult](ADObjectId rootId, QueryScope scope, QueryFilter filter, SortBy sortBy, Int32 maxResults) at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.SystemConfiguration.ADSystemConfigurationSession.FindServerByFqdn(String serverFqdn) at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.SystemConfiguration.ADSystemConfigurationSession.FindLocalServer() at Microsoft.Exchange.Servicelets.SystemAttendantMailbox.Servicelet.Work() For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. I researched this and found an article that said to put the "Exchange Enterprise Servers" group in a local policy. When I went looking for the group, it didn't exist. I cannot find anything about this group. Is this something that was done away with in Exchange 2007? If not, how do I fix this problem?

Hi Timothy, Before going further, I would like to confirm the version of Exchange 2007 you want to install, is that a release to manufacturing (RTM) version? There are some restriction for RTM version. For the release to manufacturing (RTM) version of Exchange2007, in each domain (including child domains) where you have the Exchange Enterprise Servers and Exchange Domain Servers groups and therefore must run Setup /PrepareLegacyExchangePermissions. If you have any domain controllers that are running Windows 2000 Server and you are installing the release to manufacturing (RTM) version of Exchange 2007, you must run Setup.com from a Command Prompt window, and you must use the /DomainController parameter to specify a domain controller that is running Windows Server 2003 SP1. Meanwhile, the account you use must be delegated membership in the Schema Administrators group if you have not previously prepared the ActiveDirectory schema. If you are installing the first Exchange2007 server in the organization, the account you use must have membership in the Enterprise Administrators group. When you plan to install Exchange2007, you must have at least one domain controller that is also a global catalog server and is running WindowsServer2003 SP1 or a later version. Whats your operating system? For more information: Exchange 2007 System Requirements http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996719(EXCHG.80).aspx please refer to module Network and Directory Serversdomain controllers Thanks, Elvis

I appologize for not getting back with this. I am behind on a deadline. I solved my problem. It turned out to be the NIC drivers. When I installed the latest NIC drivers, my errors went away.
