If Exchange accepts messages directly from the Internet, enable SMTP Proctocol logging and you will know:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124531.aspxOr via Message TrackingOr Checking the Internet Headers of the message in Outlook. If you use another SMTP gateway to accept mail, then you'll need to check the tracking logs on those machines instead.Though, I would think it wouldnt matter really. If you remove those mx records, your mail will go through the designated gateways regardless.Since the ones you want to remove are weighted at a lower priority, the only thing probably being sent through those servers was junk from spammers.

If you accept messages directly from the Internet to Exchange, then message tracking will show which which server accepted the message.
