MX record / AcceptedDomain
Hello, I use Exch 2007 and I recently migrated Users from Exchange 2003 server to Exchange 2007. After the migration, I would need to change the MX record. (server will be turned off) Also when I run the accepted domain I got the below result. Would I need to change that accepted domain as DomainType: Authoritative, AddressBookEnabled : True, Default: False?? Is there any other manipulation I should be aware of when migrating the MX record? Get-AcceptedDomain -Identity company2.com | fl DomainName : company2.com DomainType : ExternalRelay AddressBookEnabled : False Default : False AdminDisplayName : ExchangeVersion : 0.1 (8.0.535.0) Name : company2.com DistinguishedName : CN=company2.com,CN=Accepted Domains,CN=Transport Settings,CN=First Organization,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,CN={D73F5DC9-E1F6-462-84AF-85D9E7F070} Identity : company2.com Guid : a189dcc0-efa3-4b81-abb9-de3cdf4eec7a ObjectCategory : CN=ms-Exch-Accepted-Domain,CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,CN={D73F5DC9-E1F6-4762-84AF-85D9E7F07200} ObjectClass : {top, msExchAcceptedDomain} WhenChanged : 15/04/2010 22:53:33 WhenCreated : 15/04/2010 22:53:33 OriginatingServer : localhost IsValid : True Thanks, Graig

You need to set the domain as authoritative in order to accept mails from internet. Rest all looks good to meVinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
