I wouldn't worry aobut the database size/date not changing I know with 2003 it never changed unless you dismounted the database I haven't checked with 2007/2010. The key thing to check would be the event logs to see if you are getting any error's, also look for the events from the nightly maint to see how much whitespace you have in the database and to make sure it is completing on a regular basis. All in all I don't think you have anything to worry about.ThanksWillWill Shepherd - MCSE/MCITP/MCTS (Windows 2008,Exchange 2007,OCS 2007)

Hi Balwan, Yes, this is not a problem. Please check your event log, it will tell you what happened if you meet problems. Regarding why the database size doesn't change. I would like to explain that Exchange databases run a defragmentation process once a day by default. This process rearranges mailbox store and public folder store data more efficiently, eliminating unused storage space. Exchange database online defragmentation occurs automatically as part of the database maintenance process. By default, Exchange is configured to run online defragmentation daily between 01:00 and 05:00. Online defragmentation makes additional database space available by detecting and removing database objects that are no longer being used. The defragmentation process provides more database space without actually changing the file size of the database.
