Mail forwarding. The object could not be found
HI There , I have Small Business Server 2008, Exchange Server 2007. I am trying to forward emails to different user. I can do this manually with no problem. But when I try to do with EMS for ONE PTICULAR (User 1) user it give me error: [PS] C:\Windows\System32>Set-Mailbox -DeliverToMailboxAndForward $true -Forwardi ngAddress 'contoso.local/MyBusiness/Users/SBSUsers/User 1' -Identity 'contoso.local/MyBusiness/Users/SBSUsers/User 2' Object "contoso.local/MyBusiness/Users/SBSUsers/User 1" could not b e found. Please make sure that it was spelled correctly or specify a different object. At line:1 char:1 + S <<<< et-Mailbox -DeliverToMailboxAndForward $true -ForwardingAddress 'contoso.local/MyBusiness/Users/SBSUsers/User 1' -Identity 'contoso.local/MyBusiness/Users/SBSUsers/User 2' All the users are in the same directory OU and Container. I do not get any error when I try other user than User 1. I have problem only when I try User 1. I want to forward User 2 e mails to User 1 via EMS. Thanks Guys

For the forwardingaddress, enter the SMTP address of USer1 instead and see if that works.

Hi, Could you please try this command? Set-mailbox –Identity User2 –DeliverToMailboxAndForward $true –ForwardingAddress User1@domain.com More information: Set-Mailbox Then run the below commands to check the result. $1=Get-mailbox –Identity user2 $2=$1.FrowardingAddress $2 The result should like this ISdelete : False Rdn: CN=user2 … … If the syntax is not correct, you could go SBS forum.
