Mailbox-Database Quota does not affect
Hi, I've problems with my Exchange 2k10 SP1. I have 1 Mailbox Database and 1 Public Folder Database. On the Mailbox DBS I configured the "Issue warning at (MB)" property to 1024MB. Warning message interval is daily at 02:00. All User Mailboxes are configured to use the Mailbox database defaults as Storage quotas. The problem is that the Exchange server doesn't generate E-Mail warnings. The Eventlog doesn't show me errors. Has anyone an idea?

Hi, First please check if you have storage quotas settings on mailbox correctly (I mean correct value). You can use get-mailbox xxx|fl and then check the value on IssueWarningQuota, ProhibitSendQuota, ProhibitSendReceiveQuota, UseDatabaseQuotaDefaults. Then please try to modify the value on QuotaNotificationSchedule. Note: The QuotaNotificationSchedule parameter specifies when quota messages are sent to mailboxes that have reached one of the quota values. The format is StartDay.Hour:Minute [AM/PM]-EndDay.Hour:Minute [AM/PM]. You can use the following values for the start and end days: · Full name of the day · Abbreviated name of the day (example: Mon-Monday) · Integer from 0 through 6, where 0 = Sunday Set-MailboxDatabase http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123971.aspx More related information to share with you: Understanding Quota Messages http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232173.aspx Supported Locales for Use with System Messages http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124759.aspx See also : http://www.techpeoples.net/index.php/exchang/exchange-server-2010/security/481-how-to-configure-message-size-limits-in-exchange-server-2010 Anil

I don’t understand where the problem could be. Have you another idea? Greetings

Hi Nitz, Per the above information, everything seems well. Do you mean some mailbox or the database has beyond the value configured, but there is no warning and eventlog show up. It sounds odd. Regards! Gavin
