Mailbox Corruption?
Hi folks;
I've just installed Exchange 2010 (all updates) and in Recipient Configuration the mailboxes listed there are having issues ;-)
When I click on any of them and go to properties I get this message;
The properties on this object have invalid data. If you click OK, default values will be used instead and will be saved if you do not change them before hitting apply or OK on the property page. If you click cancel, the object will be disaplyed read-only
and correupted values will be retained.
If I hit apply (without changing anything) I get this warning;
Database is mandatory on UserMailbox
Database is mandatory on UserMailbox
and the only way out is to hit Cancel.
A search on the Interweb seemed to indicate that I should run a Get-Mailbox | Update-Recipient command for that mailbox. So I did, but then I get this;
[PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-Mailbox name | Update-Recipient
WARNING: The object microsoft.com/Users/name has been corrupted, and it's in an inconsistent state. The following
validation errors happened:
WARNING: Database is mandatory on UserMailbox.

Does anyone know if there's a magic command I need to run to 'uncorrupt' these mailboxes? I could really use some help here because I've been fighting this installation for a couple of days and I'm really close now... :-)

Could you please explain me you Install/update process???
Was this a migration situation or Transition situation?
Are all the mailboxes corrupted now?
Could you just pickup one less important mailbox and disable it for few seconds and then enable it back & see if that makes any difference please......

If you think the mailbox is corrupt, you can restore it through RSG.

Might be an issue with a missing homeMDB entry.

I don't know whether people can't see that I posted up (already) what the answer was or if you're just not actually reading the thread before you answer but for the sake of others, the answer is 4 or 5 posts up :-)
