Mailbox Manager - Flagged items
Does anyone know if mailbox manager on Exchange 2003 deletes e-mails that have been flagged for follow up?

Hi,Yes it does, basically it checks 3 time related properties of any message to determine. Check below article to understand further....Message age limit properties that are used by Mailbox Manager in Exchange Server 2003 and in Exchange 2000 Serverhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/302804Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Thanks, I had seen this article but I know that e-mails marked as un-read are not deleted by the mailbox manager so I wonder if flagged e-mails are the same?

Hi,
Based on my research, the unread message will also be deleted if the mail is not touched for a long time based on your configuration.
As the KB provided by Amit, Mailbox Manager examines the properties by using the "AND" operator for following three attributes of an email.
PR_MESSAGE_DELIVERY_TIME
PR_CLIENT_SUBMIT_TIME
PR_LAST_MODIFICATION_TIME
Mailbox Manager verifies that all three dates are older than the threshold that is set for cleaning. If all three date properties are older than the age limit that is imposed by the Mailbox Manager recipient policy, the message is processed.
