Mailbox Movement History
Hello All,
In our organization there is a frequent movement of mailboxes from one store to another and one server to an other, for reason of role changes, mailbox size and system manager exceptions.
Is there a way I can track the mailbox movement history in Exchange Server 2003 SP2.
Any script or tools ?
Any help is appreciated in advance.

Hey Ajay,
I am not aware of any other method but I would do it in this way....
When mailbox move finishes it register an information event in application event log, details are below.
Source: In 2007 - Exchange Migration, In 2003 - MSExchangeAdmin
Category:Move Mailbox
Event ID: 1007
Search for this event in all Exchange mailbox server.
Awindows utility, EventCombMT which is available in Windows Resource Kit can be usedto scan the event log on multiple server andfilter itwith your required details, you will get the result in txt file.

Thanks for reply Amit, it seems to answer my immediate problem, but I was looking at something we can do to track mailbox movement history. If we have mailbox 5 years old, I should be able to track that on which stores it has been and for what duration.
Best Regards
AJAY

Hello Ajay,
I think there isnt any way to search older history, like 5 years old, natively in Exchange if event logs have been purged.
You require to search for third party utility which stores some of the AD attributes in its own database (would be SQLs) daily or period of time and do query from it whenever you require the history of mailbox.
But that also stores information from the point of time when you set it up so there isnt any way to get it now.
