Mailbox Moves - EVENTID 8506
Hi all (Exchange 2007, SP1)
I am in the process of moving mailboxes from a corrupt store, I am also levelling various other Databases to reclaim White Space. I have successfully moved 604 mailboxes from the corrupt store and am left with just 1 mailbox which will not move. I am not allowing corrupt items to be left behind.
For this mailbox it is failing with EVENTID 8506 and the text far below. The mailbox is only 40 MB in size, I have tried to move it to at least 3 other Databases, I have had the user disassociate any pst files from his email client and ensure the client is shutdown. Still it fails.
Because i work for an organisation where users email is effectively treated as "personal", I cannot just allow emails to be left behind\Deleted. Does anyone know how well the move process reports on the "corrupt emails" it does not move? What may be acceptable to the users is if I can give them a list of the emails that were causing the problem, so that they can retrieve them from personal backups. It will be very difficult to get involved in end-user throubleshooting as I have to do this for 43000 mailboxes, so running database checks and mailbox repairs would be just too time-consuming. any ideas?
Unable to move mailbox Joe Bloggs.
A problem occurred while getting the properties for a message.
Internal parent folder ID: 38-131B7A0006; Message ID: 38-131B7E3601; Error code: 0x4fa.
Run ISINTEG to check for any problem in the database "JoeBloggs.edb".

Hi
From server\admin side
Move all the mails to Personal Folder (export-mailbox) -> Disable the mailbox -> create a new mailbox in the respective mailbox database -> configure the outlook profile.
Scan the PST file and add the pst to outlook profile and move the mails from pst to online mailbox.
In client machine
Reconfigure the outlook profile in User machine.
Thank you

run PFDavadmin. In here, you can select the mailbox you're having the problem with. right-click, etc. options is to "check DACL state". If bad, click to repair it. Then try the move again.
if above fails then export the mailbox to pst , delete the mailbox from the store, recreate in desire server and import the exported pst.
