Mailbox Quotas - Deleted item recovery?
When you enforce mailbox quotas in Exchange 2007, do the items in your "mailbox dumpster" count against your mailbox quota?for example - If a user does a Shift+Delete, the message will bypass the deleted items folder and go straight to the dumpster. But the mailbox size does not seem to change, is this because they are in the mailbox dumpster?

What appears to be happening, it the user get the quota warning message, they go in and clean up thier mailbox, empty deleted its folder, and outlook still shows the same mailbox size. I am concerned that once we enforce send\receive quotas that this will cause up problems? We are Exchange 2007 sp1, ru9 and outlook 2007 sp2.

It's possible that the amount of items being deleted is negligible compared to the overall mailbox size. You don't say how many items are being deleted, but you will of course be aware that the size of a large number of simple text-only messages will be much smaller than a single message containing, say, a video file, or a presentation.Outlook Web Access For PDA , OWA For WAP
